President Dallin H. Oaks and New First Presidency announced

President Dallin Harris Oaks was announced as the 18th President and Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-‍day Saints during a live broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 14, 2025.
President Oaks also called two counselors to serve with him.
President: Dallin H. Oaks
First Counselor: Henry B. Eyring
Second Counselor: D. Todd Christofferson

To conclude Tuesday’s announcement, President Oaks focused on the global nature of the ministry of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“Our ministry is a ministry of all the children of God on the face of the earth,” President Oaks said. “We pray for all. We seek to serve all. And we invoke the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ upon all who seek to serve Him, to do so in worthiness and commitment and optimism. We do not have the answers to all the world’s problems. They have not been revealed. But what we do know is that we are all children of heavenly parents, and that we are called to serve all of the children of God.”

Temple Baptistry hours during Teacher's Strike

 Dear President,

Below is a message I received from the Temple Presidency.

Please note that with the teachers on strike the temple leadership has decided to extend the baptistry hours Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and will reevaluate next week depending on how long the teachers strike goes.

The baptistry will be open beginning at 10am for online scheduling of appointments.

Thank you for your efforts in this matter.

Giving Machine Volunteering Information

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

It may seem early to be discussing Christmas but planning for the Giving Machines arrival is underway and we are inviting you to participate by volunteering your time to help make this another successful year!

To ensure a positive experience for both volunteers and the community, please note the following requirements:

  • Must be an adult (16 and older is ok as long as another adult is signing up with them!)

  • Able to remain standing for a 3-hour shift

  • Comfortable interacting easily with the public (no significant social anxiety)

  • Able to use simple technology or follow simple written or phone instructions to do so

If you are interested in volunteering, please note the following,

  • To volunteer, please click the link below and follow the instructions.

  • You may only sign up for one time slot. This ensures that as many people as possible can participate, given the overwhelming response last year.

  • If you are signing up with a spouse or friend, each person must register individually. Please do not sign up for more than one person under a single slot.

  • As this is not a Proselytizing event we are unable to have Missionaries sign up as volunteers

Training Requirement
This year, volunteer training will be offered via Zoom to accommodate Stakes further from Lethbridge.

  • Training is mandatory unless you attended last year (though we encourage everyone to join for a refresher!).

  • Training sessions will be held in the first week of November, with about three sessions planned.

  • Dates and links will be sent directly to those who sign up to volunteer

We look forward to bringing the spirit of giving to our communities this year and are excited to have you participate with us.......

Merry Christmas
