Quilting with Sis. Hough

Well, thanks to Sis. Hough the quilting group is up and going!  We had such a great time learning how to make the "Take 2" block which looks so hard but practically sews itself!  It's so great!

See...it looks so "triangley" and tricky. 
                                                                                                                                                                         

And then voila!

So fun to make...and we learned how to pin in the seam to make perfectly matching corners...who knew?!

Bro. Laurier Vadnais Funeral

VADNAIS

            LAURIER JOSEPH VADNAIS, beloved husband of Laura Low Vadnais, passed away in Cardston on January 5, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born January 19, 1920 in Cardston.

            He is survived by his children - Joy (Denver) Bevans of Cardston, Kenneth (Pat) Vadnais, Lavern (Katherine) Vadnais, Bruce (Judy) Vadnais, Gordon (Sandra) Vadnais, Susan (Eugene) Parkins; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Keith (Alberta) Vadnais; his long time friends Phyllis (Ed) Stapleton and Georgette (Bill) Hricise.

            The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, CARDSTON ALBERTA WEST STAKE CENTRE (Waterton Hwy), Cardston on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.   Friends may meet the family at the Church from 1:00 to 1:45 a.m. prior to the Service.  Interment in the Cardston Cemetery.

Funeral for Dorthy Zemp

         DOROTHY  ROSE ZEMP, beloved wife of the late Leon Zemp, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Cardston at the age of 96 years old.

            She was very loved and will be remembered by her children Ross (Jeanette deceased) Allan

(Thora), Chuck (Carol), Don (Audrey) and Gerry (Joyce), 26 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Margaret Schile and sister-in-law Edith Zemp and many nieces and nephews. 

            The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ

of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, 355 – 3rd Street West, Cardston, AB with Bishop

            Friends my meet the family from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery.
